Poster design

Poster is an art and it is the combination of graphic and text. The main purpose of Poster is to send the message and information to people. Poster is a tool of advertisers and it is trying to spread a message. There have many type of poster in design, for example: movie poster, music poster, advertising poster and etc.A good poster it can attract people and it can send the correct information to everyone and it does not make people confuse. Posters always design in vertical because it can save the space on the wall.

Packaging design

A packing of a product is equal to a image of the company and the product, it is a very important that as a designer a packing design must have the right colour, text, and the company logo. Before start to design the product package, we must know who is our target users, what kind of feeling that we want to represent for the customer and does it represent the company well.

Consumer usually purchase a product is base on the the design of the product, when a product design is good it can attract the customer and it will give the correct information to the uses. other than that, a good product design can let user recognize the product is from which company, it is like a Trent mark for the user.

Typography

Words are the direct way for us to see and understand what it trying to say or what message that is trying to send to us. In design there is a type of study that design creative words that is call typography. A typography without the element of colour and shape but it still can show a very interesting words that can attract people.

From my experience, although usually typography is just a sentence of words, but it can become few meaning when it apply with some special front and creativity. It is very interesting and fun when i was studying typography in my foundation class. A creative typography can change from a very simple and boring words become a very interesting and fun of words.

car design

In the 21 century car is a need and a very common vehicle for everyone to travel. A car design is a very important for a driver, i can effect the user comfort, speed and attract the user from using the vehicle. As you can see the front of the car usually is not totally flat and it height is close to the ground. This is because that the shape of the car will effect the speed of the car and the height will effect the balancing of the car.

Beside that, the interior design of the car is very important too. This is where the comfort start when user driving a vehicle. The steering of the car must design suitable for the country resident that even the shortest man or woman can reach for the steering. A car design is very concern about how does the design make the user feel comfortable and is suitable for user.

A good car design it will enhance the feeling of classic and sporty. customer will always remember and recognize the design of the car no matter it is special series of car or normal series of car.

Drawing

Drawing is an art that using pen, pencil, crayon, charcoal and marker to make a picture or diagram. Drawing is one of the way to shows their feeling in their masterpiece. In drawing there is no concept or formula for a artist to create or produce an artwork. One of the drawing that I learn from foundation is life drawing. Live drawing is a type of drawing that draw on the spot, what the designer observe with their eye and directly draw on the paper.

From my experience, live drawing is an art that show how strong that their observation is. Without a good observation, a artist will never can produce a nice drawing. Same goes to designer, if they don't have a good observation they will never come out with a good idea.

Ideation

Ideation is the first step to every project or assignment, from the beginning every designer have to brain storm to think of many idea and list it down. Normally a designer list down all the idea in a mind map, while a designer brain storming they will draw or right it down on a mind map so that they will never lost their idea.

In ideation, designer have to plan everything and think of the creativity idea to apply on the subject. They have to think about the colour, element, and how to apply while in the stage of ideation. If the ideation is good, the rest of the work is much more easier for designer to proceed to the next stage.
For example:

Less is more, More is less

In design, "less is more, more is less". Less is more mean that do less is more effective. It also means “don’t overdo it.” This method can be used to say that it’s best to let someone understands the design much easier. Many designers have trouble achieve one, either they have a difficulty making a design with so few elements look good or the final result just doesn’t look complete. If a design has too many elements on their design, the user will be confused.  Designer has to keep it simple but not simply in their work, this concept tells us that quantity is not important but quality is.

More is less meaning that more elements on the design would have made it less noticeable, and less important. If the design have too much of element, it will only make user confuse and the design will become a disaster. More elements will cause the design to be less effective or less efficient or less focused on the place that we want to show. Quantity is not always the important thing to achieve something that what we want but quality is, without quality quantity is totally meaningless.
